Football accumulator tips for this weekend [30-31 March 2024]

The final international break of the 2023/24 season is over, with the Premier League set to return this weekend.

We have previewed five games in our weekend acca, picking out a betting tip for each top-flight game.

A £10 wager on our three-leg acca would pay out £88.33, while the same bet on our five-leg acca offers a potential return of £242.90.

Manchester City vs Arsenal: Manchester City to win and both teams to score (11/4)

The standout fixture of this weekend sees Manchester City face Arsenal - Premier League champions versus Premier League leaders.

City might be third in the standings right now, but they are the favourites to win the title. Pep Guardiola’s side arguably have the kindest fixture list of the three contenders, while they also have been in this position numerous times before.

Arsenal will be looking to make a major statement at the Etihad Stadium, but City do not lose on home turf very often. The last time they were beaten in front of their own fans by a fellow big-six side was February 2022. Arsenal have not won there in nine years.

So while we fancy the Gunners to find the back of the net, avoiding defeat will be difficult.

Liverpool vs Brighton & Hove Albion: Liverpool to win (4/11)

If Manchester City do overcome Arsenal, Liverpool will end the weekend (and the month) at the summit of the standings with a victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Seagulls have been inconsistent this term, while they have won only one of their last eight top-flight matches at opposition stadiums.

Liverpool, for their part, have an excellent record at Anfield. No team in the division has taken as many points at home. The Reds have not lost a domestic game at their headquarters since October 2022.

Jurgen Klopp’s injury crisis is easing and the international break will have done his team good. Brighton will struggle to get anything from this match.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Luton Town: Son Heung-min to score any time (8/11)

Tottenham Hotspur delivered one of their most disappointing performances of the season immediately prior to the international break.

A 3-0 loss to Fulham saw Spurs fall three points behind Aston Villa in the race for the top four (fifth place may be sufficient for Champions League qualification, however).

Luton are struggling for wins. The side has not produced one in any of their last eight outings in the top tier.

They were boosted by Nottingham Forest’s recent points penalty, but Rob Edwards’ team are huge underdogs here.

Son scored in two of his three appearances before the international break and he will fancy his chances of making the net bulge again here.

Newcastle United vs West Ham United: Over 2.5 goals (1/2)

After falling 13 points adrift of the top five, Newcastle United’s chances of Champions League qualification are all but over.

The Magpies can still book a spot in the Europa League, however, with West Ham also chasing the same target.

This is an important match for both teams, then. West Ham fans will hope to see their team have a go, not least given Newcastle’s vulnerabilities at the back.

Eddie Howe’s team were, for the most part, defensively solid last term. They have struggled to keep opposition attacks out this time around, however.

West Ham have the attacking talent to give the hosts something to think about. But Newcastle should also be able to create plenty of chances in this one.

Go for over 2.5 goals at 1/2 with Sky Bet

Chelsea vs Burnley: Chelsea to score in both halves (5/6)

Burnley are still fighting for survival. They beat Brentford 2-1 two weeks ago and were further boosted when Nottingham Forest had four points taken off their tally.

Vincent Kompany’s side are still four points behind Luton in 17th. They must start picking up wins quickly.

It will be difficult to come out on top this weekend, however. Chelsea are looking to build some momentum ahead of the FA Cup semi-finals next month. They have struggled this season, but there is talent within the group at Mauricio Pochettino’s disposal.

Burnley have been too open at the back throughout the campaign. Chelsea can take advantage at Stamford Bridge.
